Education
J'tal learned the core courses at the Academy, but excelled in Weapons and Gunnery. He also had something of a knack for last minute maneuvers that were able to get him out of tight spots, though his instructors sometimes found J'tal's methods a bit unorthodox. J'tal also did reasonably well in Tactical and Security operations.
He is fluent in Romulan, Cardassian, Federation Standard and others to a lesser extent.

Appearance
J'tal is 6'0" and around 190 pounds with dark brown, shoulder length hair and well defined ridges on his forehead. He has a scar running from the corner of his right right eye to the back of his from a his first away mission as a cadet when he encountered a group of Cardassians.
J'tal is generally quick on his feet, though this can sometimes get him into trouble if he's not careful about what he says and to whom. Like most Klingons, he has a fascination with nearly all weapons and excelled in gunnery at the Academy.
In his spare time he often practices with his batleh or any other bladed weapon around him. He tends to be well practiced in self defense, both armed and unarmed and can easily handle himself in a one-on-one fight against most opponents.
